Floor: 1j/F/2R . 05/04/2011 02:06 PM . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Sobel moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (404618) (with title 2 amendment) 3 4 Delete lines 1285 - 1299 5 and insert: 6 (1)(a) ANoperson is notshall bepermitted to vote in any 7 election precinct or district other than the one in which the 8 person has his or her legal residence and in which the person is 9 registered. However, a person temporarily residing outside the 10 county shall be registered in the precinct in which the main 11 office of the supervisor, as designated by the supervisor, is 12 located when the person has no permanent address in the county 13 and it is the person’s intention to remain a resident of Florida 14 and of the county in which he or she is registered to vote. Such 15 persons who are registered in the precinct in which the main 16 office of the supervisor, as designated by the supervisor, is 17 located and who are residing outside the county with no 18 permanent address in the county shall not be registered electors 19 of a municipality and therefore shall not be permitted to vote 20 in any municipal election. 21 (b) If a person attempts to vote in an election precinct or 22 district other than the one in which the person is registered, 23 the clerk or inspector must provide the address of the correct 24 polling place in writing to the person. 25 26 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 27 And the title is amended as follows: 28 Between lines 4086 and 4087 29 insert: 30 requiring a clerk or inspector to provide the address 31 of the correct polling place to a person who attempts 32 to vote in an incorrect precinct or district;
