       The Committee on Health Regulation (Ring) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)
    2  
    3         Between lines 34 and 35
    4  insert:
    5         (5) An applicant is ineligible to complete any of the
    6  examinations provided in subsection (4) and may not be licensed
    7  in this state to practice dentistry if the applicant has been:
    8         (a) Disciplined by any regulatory board for misconduct
    9  related to the practice of dentistry in any jurisdiction; or
   10         (b) Convicted of or has pled nolo contendere to, regardless
   11  of adjudication, any felony or misdemeanor related to the
   12  practice of dentistry in any jurisdiction.

   15         And the directory clause is amended as follows:
   16         Delete lines 12 - 13
   17  and insert:
   18         Section 1. Subsection (3) of section 466.006, Florida
   19  Statutes, is amended, and subsection (5) is added to that
   20  section, to read:

   23         And the title is amended as follows:
   24         Delete line 8
   25  and insert:
   26         such examinations; providing that an applicant is not
   27         eligible to complete state licensing examinations and
   28         may not practice dentistry in this state following
   29         certain acts of misconduct or convictions; providing
   30         an effective date.
