House Comm: FAV . 04/14/2011 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Environmental Preservation and Conservation (Dean) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 2 3 Delete everything after the enacting clause 4 and insert: 5 Section 1. Trucking Regulation Workgroup.— 6 (1) There is created the Trucking Regulation Workgroup. 7 (2) The workgroup shall consist of the following members, 8 whose appointments to the workgroup must be made by August 1, 9 2011: 10 (a) The Secretary of Transportation, or the secretary’s 11 designee. 12 (b) The executive director of the Department of Revenue, or 13 the executive director’s designee. 14 (c) The Secretary of Environmental Protection, or the 15 secretary’s designee. 16 (d) The executive director of the Department of Law 17 Enforcement, or the executive director’s designee. 18 (e) The executive director of the Department of Highway 19 Safety and Motor Vehicles, or the executive director’s designee. 20 (f) Three members, appointed by the Governor, who shall be 21 owners or employees of trucking firms and represent small, 22 medium, and large trucking firms, respectively. 23 (g) One member who represents the Florida Trucking 24 Association. 25 (3) On or before October 1, 2011, the workgroup shall 26 deliver to the Governor, the Speaker of the House of 27 Representatives, and the President of the Senate a report 28 concerning rules and regulations affecting trucking firms. The 29 report shall provide legislative recommendations to address 30 those concerns. 31 (4) The workgroup is abolished November 1, 2011. 32 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011. 33 34 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 35 And the title is amended as follows: 36 Delete everything before the enacting clause 37 and insert: 38 A bill to be entitled 39 An act relating to trucking; creating the Trucking 40 Regulation Workgroup; providing for membership of the 41 workgroup; directing the workgroup to make a report to 42 the Governor, the Speaker of the House of 43 Representatives, and the President of the Senate by a 44 certain date; providing for termination of the 45 workgroup; providing an effective date.
