       The Committee on Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human
       Services Appropriations (Oelrich) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Delete lines 2995 - 3003
    4  and insert:
    5         2. Medicaid recipients assigned to a provider service
    6  network shall be chosen equally from those who would otherwise
    7  have been assigned to prepaid plans and MediPass. The agency may
    8  is authorized to seek federal Medicaid waivers as necessary to
    9  implement the provisions of this section. Any contract
   10  previously awarded to A provider service network awarded a
   11  contract pursuant to s. 409.965 has the option of being paid
   12  fee-for-service rates that include a savings-settlement
   13  mechanism consistent with s. 409.912(44) for the first 3 years
   14  of the initial 5-year contact period under s. 490.966 operated
   15  by a hospital pursuant to this subsection shall remain in effect
   16  for a period of 3 years following the current contract
   17  expiration date, regardless of any contractual provisions to the
   18  contrary.
