       Senator Storms moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 169 and 170
    4  insert:
    5         Section 4. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (2) of
    6  section 435.06, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         435.06 Exclusion from employment.—
    8         (2)
    9         (d) An employer may hire an employee to a position that
   10  requires background screening before the employee completes the
   11  screening process for training and orientation purposes.
   12  However, the employee may not have direct contact with
   13  vulnerable persons until the screening process is completed and
   14  the employee demonstrates that he or she exhibits no behaviors
   15  that warrant the denial or termination of employment.
