5 Section 277. Subsection (1) of section 443.111, Florida
6 Statutes, is amended to read:
7 443.111 Payment of benefits.—
8 (1) MANNER OF PAYMENT.—Benefits are payable from the fund
9 in accordance with rules adopted by Jobs Florida the Agency for
10 Workforce Innovation, subject to the following requirements:
11 (a) Benefits are payable by mail or electronically, except
12 that an individual being paid by paper warrant on July 1, 2011,
13 may continue to be paid in that manner until the expiration of
14 the claim. Jobs Florida Notwithstanding s. 409.942(4), the
15 agency may develop a system for the payment of benefits by
16 electronic funds transfer, including, but not limited to, debit
17 cards, electronic payment cards, or any other means of
18 electronic payment that Jobs Florida the agency deems to be
19 commercially viable or cost-effective. Commodities or services
20 related to the development of such a system shall be procured by
21 competitive solicitation, unless they are purchased from a state
22 term contract pursuant to s. 287.056. Jobs Florida The agency
