A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County;
3authorizing the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and
4Tobacco of the Department of Business and Professional
5Regulation to issue an alcoholic beverage license to the
6City of Tampa for use within the buildings and adjoining
7grounds of Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and Kiley Garden
8Park; providing for payment of the license fee;
9authorizing sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption
10within the buildings and their adjoining grounds;
11prohibiting sales for consumption off premises; providing
12for construction of this act; authorizing transfer and
13providing for subsequent reversion of the license under
14certain circumstances; providing an effective date.

16Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

18     Section 1.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the
19Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the Department of
20Business and Professional Regulation is authorized, upon
21application, to issue an alcoholic beverage license in
22accordance with section 561.17, Florida Statutes, to the City of
23Tampa, a political subdivision of the state, 306 East Jackson
24Street, Tampa, for use within buildings located in Curtis Hixon
25Waterfront Park, 600 North Ashley Drive, and Kiley Garden Park,
26500 North Ashley Drive, and on adjoining grounds. The city shall
27pay the applicable license fee provided in section 565.02,
28Florida Statutes.
29     Section 2.  Alcoholic beverages may be sold by the licensee
30for consumption within Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and Kiley
31Garden Park, including the associated buildings and adjoining
32grounds. The license issued pursuant to this act does not permit
33the sale of alcoholic beverages in sealed containers for
34consumption outside the buildings and adjoining grounds. Nothing
35in this act shall prevent the licensee from removing an opened,
36partially consumed container of alcoholic beverage from the
37premises.
38     Section 3.  The City of Tampa may transfer the license from
39time to time to qualified applicants who are either authorized
40by or under contract with the city to provide food services at
41the buildings. Upon termination of a transferee's authorization
42or contract, the license automatically reverts by operation of
43law to the city.
44     Section 4.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
