18 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

20 | Section 1. Section 320.0892, Florida Statutes is created |
21 | to read: |
22 | 320.0892 Motor vehicle license plates to recipients of the |
23 | Silver Star.-Any United States citizen who is a resident of |
24 | Florida and who was awarded the Silver Star while serving as a |
25 | member of the United States Armed Forces may, upon application |
26 | to the department, be issued a license plate on which is stamped |
27 | the words "Silver Star" followed by the serial number. Upon |
28 | submission of the application and proof that the applicant meets |
29 | the qualifications of this section, the plate shall be issued |
30 | without payment of the license tax imposed by s. 320.08. |
31 | Section 2. Section 320.08921, Florida Statutes, is created |
32 | to read: |
33 | 320.08921 Motor vehicle license plates to recipients of |
34 | the Distinguished Service Cross.-Any United States citizen who |
35 | is a resident of Florida and who was awarded the Distinguished |
36 | Service Cross while serving as a member of the United States |
37 | Armed Forces may, upon application to the department, be issued |
38 | a license plate on which is stamped the words "Distinguished |
39 | Service Cross" followed by the serial number. Upon submission of |
40 | the application and proof that the applicant meets the |
41 | qualifications of this section, the plate shall be issued |
42 | without payment of the license tax imposed by s. 320.08. |
43 | Section 3. Section 320.08922, Florida Statutes, is created |
44 | to read: |
45 | 320.08922 Motor vehicle license plates to recipients of |
46 | the Navy Cross.-Any United States citizen who is a resident of |
47 | Florida and who was awarded the Navy Cross while serving as a |
48 | member of the United States Armed Forces may, upon application |
49 | to the department, be issued a license plate on which is stamped |
50 | the words "Navy Cross" followed by the serial number. Upon |
51 | submission of the application and proof that the applicant meets |
52 | the qualifications of this section, the plate shall be issued |
53 | without payment of the license tax imposed by s. 320.08. |
54 | Section 4. Section 320.08923, Florida Statutes, is created |
55 | to read: |
56 | 320.08923 Motor vehicle license plates to recipients of |
57 | the Air Force Cross.-Any United States citizen who is a resident |
58 | of Florida and who was awarded the Air Force Cross while serving |
59 | as a member of the United States Armed Forces may, upon |
60 | application to the department, be issued a license plate on |
61 | which is stamped the words "Air Force Cross" followed by the |
62 | serial number. Upon submission of the application and proof that |
63 | the applicant meets the qualifications of this section, the |
64 | plate shall be issued without payment of the license tax imposed |
65 | by s. 320.08. |
66 | Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011. |
