       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Margolis) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (217026) (with title
    2  amendment)

    6  insert:
    7         (7) A defendant who is not otherwise eligible for
    8  government-funded pretrial release under subsection (3) is
    9  eligible for government-funded pretrial release 24 hours after
   10  the defendant’s arrest.
