The Committee on Budget Subcommittee on Finance and Tax
(Bogdanoff) recommended the following:

3 Delete everything after the enacting clause
4 and insert:
5 Section 1. Subsection (1) of section 197.502, Florida
6 Statutes, is amended to read:
7 197.502 Application for obtaining tax deed by holder of tax
8 sale certificate; fees.—
9 (1) The holder of a any tax certificate, other than the
10 county, at any time after 2 years have elapsed since April 1 of
11 the year of issuance of the tax certificate and before the
12 cancellation expiration of the certificate 7 years from the date
13 of issuance, may file the certificate and an application for a
14 tax deed with the tax collector of the county where the property
15 lands described in the certificate is are located. The
16 application may be made on the entire parcel of property or any
17 part thereof which is capable of being readily separated from
18 the whole. The tax collector may charge shall be allowed a tax
19 deed application fee of $75, plus reimbursement for any fee
20 charged to the tax collector by a vendor for providing an
21 electronic tax deed application program or service.
22 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.

29 An act relating to property taxation; amending s.
30 197.502, F.S.; revising provisions relating to

32 requirements; authorizing the tax collector to charge
33 a fee to cover the costs to the tax collector for
34 electronic tax deed programs or services; providing an
35 effective date.
