Section 376.30715, Florida Statutes, is amended 7 to read: 8 376.30715 Innocent victim petroleum storage system 9 restoration.—A contaminated site acquired by the current owner 10 prior to July 1, 1990, which has ceased operating as a petroleum 11 storage or retail business prior to January 1, 1985, is eligible 12 for financial assistance pursuant to s. 376.305(6), 13 notwithstanding s. 376.305(6)(a). For purposes of this section, 14 the term “acquired” means the acquisition of title to the 15 property; however, a subsequent transfer of the property to a 16 spouse or child of the owner, a surviving spouse or child of the 17 owner in trust or free of trust,ora revocable trust created 18 for the benefit of the settlor, or a corporate entity created by 19 the owner to hold title to the site does not disqualify the site 20 from financial assistance pursuant to s. 376.305(6) and 21 applicants previously denied coverage may reapply.
