       Senator Diaz de la Portilla moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 1311 and 1312
    4  insert:
    5         Section 15. Paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section
    6  627.06281, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         627.06281 Public hurricane loss projection model; reporting
    8  of data by insurers.—
    9         (3)
   10         (b) The fees charged for private sector access and use of
   11  the model shall be the reasonable costs associated with the
   12  operation and maintenance of the model by the office. Such fees
   13  do not apply to access and use of the model by the office. By
   14  January 1, 2009, The office shall establish by rule a fee
   15  schedule for access to and the use of the model. The fee
   16  schedule must be reasonably calculated to cover only the actual
   17  costs of providing access to and the use of the model.

   20         And the title is amended as follows:
   21         Delete line 97
   22  and insert:
   23         rate filing; amending s. 627.06281, F.S.; providing a
   24         limitations on fees charged for use of the public
   25         hurricane model; amending s. 627.0629, F.S.; deleting
