Paragraph (aaaa) is added to subsection (4) of 7 section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read: 8 320.08056 Specialty license plates.— 9 (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be 10 collected for the appropriate specialty license plates: 11 (aaaa) Republican Party of Florida and Florida Democratic 12 Party license plates, $35. 13 Section 3. Subsection (80) is added to section 320.08059, 14 Florida Statutes to read: 15 320.08058 Specialty license plates.— 16 (80) REPUBLICAN PARTY OF FLORIDA and FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC 17 PARTY LICENSE PLATES.— 18 (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 320.08053, the 19 department shall develop a Republican Party of Florida license 20 plate and a Florida Democratic Party license plate, as provided 21 in this section. The plates must bear the colors and design 22 approved by the department and the official logo of the 23 Republican Party of Florida or the Florida Democratic Party must 24 appear between the numerals. To further the state interest in 25 increasing voter participation in Florida elections, the plate 26 must also include the words “I VOTE.” 27 (b) The department shall retain all revenues from the sale 28 of such plates until all startup costs for developing and 29 issuing the plates have been recovered. Thereafter, all of the 30 annual revenues of the Republican plates shall be distributed to 31 the Republican Party of Florida and all of the annual revenues 32 of the Democrat plates shall be distributed to the Florida 33 Democratic Party. Such funds shall be deposited into a separate 34 account to be used to support voter registration, absentee 35 ballot registration, voter contact, and administration and 36 marketing of the plates. No revenues shall be used for political 37 advertisements as defined in s. 106.011. 38 (c) From the funds distributed to the Republican Party of 39 Florida and to the Florida Democratic Party, an amount not to 40 exceed 15 percent of the annual revenues received from the sale 41 of the plates may be used for administration and marketing of 42 the plates. 43 44 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 45 And the title is amended as follows: 46 Between lines 75 and 76 47 insert: 48 amending s. 320.08056 and 320.08058, F.S.; creating 49 the Republican Party of Florida and the Florida 50 Democratic Party license plates; establishing an 51 annual use fee for the plates and providing for 52 distribution of fees collected from the sale of the 53 plates;
