House Comm: RCS . 03/30/2011 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Accountability (Garcia) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 24 - 45 4 and insert: 5 6 (3) The committee shall be composed of 10 members, of whom 7 four shall be appointed by the Governor, three shall be 8 appointed by the President of the Senate, and three shall be 9 appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Of the 10 members appointed to the committee: 11 (a) At least one member must be a physician licensed under 12 chapter 458 or chapter 459, Florida Statutes. 13 (b) At least one member must be a psychiatrist licensed 14 under chapter 458 or chapter 459, Florida Statutes. 15 (c) At least one member must be a psychologist licensed 16 under chapter 490, Florida Statutes. 17 (d) At least one member must be a behavior analyst 18 certified under s. 393.17, Florida Statutes, who specializes in 19 the treatment of autism spectrum disorder through speech 20 therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or applied 21 behavior analysis, or a provider licensed under chapter 491, 22 Florida Statutes. 23 (e) At least one member must be the State Surgeon General 24 or an employee of the Department of Health appointed by the 25 State Surgeon General. 26 (f) At least one member must be the parent of a child with 27 autism spectrum disorder. 28 (g) At least one member must be an educator certified in 29 special education. 30 (h) At least one member must be a medical doctor from UM 31 NSU CARD, Center for Autism & Related Disabilities. 32 (j) At least one member must have autism spectrum disorder.
