       The Committee on Budget (Flores) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)
    2  
    3         Between lines 223 and 224
    4  insert:
    5         (5) The board of directors of a regional consortium service
    6  organization may use various means to generate revenue in
    7  support of its activities. The board of directors may acquire,
    8  enjoy, use, and dispose of patents, copyrights, and trademarks
    9  and any licenses and other rights or interests thereunder or
   10  therein. Ownership of all such patents, copyrights, trademarks,
   11  licenses, and rights or interests thereunder or therein shall
   12  vest in the state, with the board of directors having full right
   13  of use and full right to retain the revenues derived therefrom.
   14  Any funds realized from patents, copyrights, trademarks, or
   15  licenses shall be considered internal funds as provided in s.
   16  1011.07. Such funds shall be used to support the organization’s
   17  marketing and research and development activities in order to
   18  improve and increase services to its member districts.

   21         And the directory clause is amended as follows:
   22         Delete lines 206 - 207
   23  and insert:
   24         Section 6. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section
   25  1001.451, Florida Statutes, is amended, and subsection (5) is
   26  added to that section, to read:
