    2         An act relating to landlord and tenant; amending s.
    3         83.42, F.S.; providing an exclusion from application
    4         for a person not legally entitled to occupy the
    5         premises; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Subsection (6) is added to section 83.42,
   10  Florida Statutes, to read:
   11         83.42 Exclusions from application of part.—This part does
   12  not apply to:
   13         (6) Occupancy for less than 60 days by a person not legally
   14  entitled to occupy the premises. A person who refuses to depart
   15  the premises is in violation of s. 810.09 and may be removed
   16  from the premises by any law enforcement officer.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
