| 2 | A resolution recognizing the Florida Brewers Guild and the |
| 3 | craft brewing industry in Florida and designating |
| 4 | September 2011 as "Craft Brewing Month" in Florida. |

| 6 | WHEREAS, the Florida Brewers Guild is celebrating its 15th |
| 7 | anniversary of supporting and advocating for the Florida brewing |
| 8 | industry, and |
| 9 | WHEREAS, there are currently 34 craft breweries and |
| 10 | microbreweries operating in the State of Florida, and |
| 11 | WHEREAS, microbrewing and craft brewing represent only 5 |
| 12 | percent of the total market share of the brewing industry in |
| 13 | Florida but account for 100,000 jobs in the United States' |
| 14 | brewing industry, and |
| 15 | WHEREAS, members of the Florida Brewers Guild have gained |
| 16 | national and international acclaim for the quality of beer being |
| 17 | produced in Florida, and |
| 18 | WHEREAS, the Florida Brewers Guild hosts the annual |
| 19 | "Florida Beer Championships" each first week in March, and |
| 20 | WHEREAS, members of the Florida Brewers Guild, comprising |
| 21 | both craft breweries and brewpubs, have won numerous national |
| 22 | awards and have highlighted Florida as a beer destination, and |
| 23 | WHEREAS, Florida represents one of the fastest growing |
| 24 | states for the production of craft beer in the United States, |
| 25 | and |
| 26 | WHEREAS, the craft breweries and brewpubs of the Florida |
| 27 | Brewers Guild serve as destinations to further encourage tourism |
| 28 | and travel to the State of Florida, NOW, THEREFORE, |
| 29 |

| 30 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of |
| 31 | Florida: |

| 33 | That the Florida Brewers Guild is recognized and |
| 34 | congratulated for helping foster the growth of the craft brewing |
| 35 | industry in the State of Florida and September 2011 is |
| 36 | designated as "Craft Brewing Month" in Florida in honor of the |
| 37 | 15th Anniversary of the Florida Brewers Guild. |
