       The Committee on Health Regulation (Diaz de la Portilla)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete line 175
    4  and insert:
    5  billed using surgical codes. This subsection does not apply to
    6  hospitalists or other physicians who prescribe medically
    7  necessary controlled substances for a patient during an
    8  inpatient stay or while providing emergency services and care in
    9  a hospital licensed under chapter 395.
