       The Committee on Health Regulation (Diaz de la Portilla)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)

    3         Between lines 36 and 37
    4  insert:

    6         (d) “Chronic nonmalignant pain” means pain unrelated to
    7  cancer, or rheumatoid arthritis, or sickle cell anemia which
    8  persists beyond the usual course of disease or beyond the injury
    9  that is the cause of the pain or which persists more than 90
   10  days after surgery.
