House Comm: RCS . 02/08/2012 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Transportation (Garcia) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 22 - 38 4 and insert: 5 Until a veteran’s identification card is next renewed, the 6 veteran may have a temporary “V” sticker issued by the 7 department and affixed to his or her identification card upon 8 the payment of a $2 fee and presentation of a copy of his or her 9 DD Form 214, or another acceptable form specified by the 10 Department of Veterans’ Affairs. An additional fee for the “V” 11 designation will not be charged if the veteran previously paid a 12 designation fee. 13 Section 2. Paragraph (c) of subsection (1) of section 14 322.14, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 15 322.14 Licenses issued to drivers.— 16 (1) 17 (c) A capital “V” shall be exhibited on the driverdriver’s18 license of a veteran upon the payment of an additional $1 fee 19 for the license and the presentation of a copy of the person’s 20 DD Form 214, issued by the United States Department of Defense. 21 Until a veteran’s license is next renewed, the veteran may have 22 a temporary “V” sticker issued by the department and affixed to 23 his or her license upon the payment of a $2 fee and presentation 24 of a copy of his or her DD Form 214, or another acceptable form 25 stipulated by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. An additional 26 fee for the “V” designation will not be charged if the veteran 27 previously paid a designation fee.
