    2         An act relating to charter schools; amending s.
    3         1002.33, F.S.; requiring each charter school to
    4         maintain an Internet website with information about
    5         the school, its personnel, and its programs; requiring
    6         specified information relating to any agency that owns
    7         or manages the school; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Paragraph (q) is added to subsection (9) of
   12  section 1002.33, Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         1002.33 Charter schools.—
   14         (9) CHARTER SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS.—
   15         (q) A charter school shall maintain an Internet website
   16  through which parents of students and the public can obtain
   17  information about the school, its personnel, and its programs.
   18  The website shall include a link that is clearly visible near
   19  the top of the page through which visitors to the website can
   20  obtain information about any agency that owns or manages the
   21  school, including whether it’s a nonprofit or for-profit entity.
   22  The information must include the names of all governing officers
   23  and administrative personnel of an agency that owns or manages
   24  the school and any fees the school pays to the agency.
   25         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2012.
