       Senator Smith moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 287 and 288
    4  insert:
    5         Section 5. An animal control agency or animal shelter must
    6  compile a monthly and annual summary, available for public
    7  inspection, which includes the number of animals, by species
    8  type, which were taken in by the animal control agency or animal
    9  shelter during the reporting period and which includes the
   10  number that:
   11         (1) Were surrendered by the owner.
   12         (2) Were impounded as a stray.
   13         (3) Were confiscated by the animal control agency or animal
   14  shelter.
   15         (4) Were imported into the state.
   16         (5) Were returned to their owner.
   17         (6) Were adopted.
   18         (7) Were transferred to other organizations or rescue
   19  groups.
   20         (8) Were euthanized by the animal control agency or animal
   21  shelter.
   22         (9) Died, were lost, or were stolen while in the direct or
   23  constructive care of the animal control agency or animal
   24  shelter.
   25         (10) Remain in the custody of the agency or shelter.

   28         And the title is amended as follows:
   29         Delete line 26
   30  and insert:
   31         s. 252.355, F.S.; conforming a cross-reference;
   32         requiring animal control agencies and animal shelters
   33         to make monthly and annual reports available for
   34         public inspection which contain specified information;
