       The Committee on Budget (Joyner) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (519440) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete line 176
    5  and insert:
    6         (b) In addition to the required number of eligible parent
    7  signatures, the school turnaround option selected by parents
    8  must also be approved by a teacher-initiated petition if the
    9  petition is signed and dated by a majority of full-time teachers
   10  employed by the school district for at least 5 years and have
   11  been assigned to the school for at least 3 years. A majority is
   12  more than one-half of the eligible teachers as defined in this
   13  subsection.
   14         (c) The district school board may adopt the school
