       The Committee on Budget (Sobel) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (519440) (with directory and
    2  title amendments)
    3  
    4         Between lines 97 and 98
    5  insert:
    6         (27) SCHOOL TURNAROUND OPTION.—The provisions of s.
    7  1003.07, the Parent Empowerment Act, apply to all charter
    8  schools in this state. The model petition form adopted by rule
    9  by the State Board of Education shall be used for purposes of
   10  any school turnaround option selected by the parents of the
   11  students of a charter school as provided in this subsection, and
   12  signed petitions shall be submitted to the governing board of
   13  the charter school for verification within the timeframes
   14  provided in s. 1003.07.
