House Comm: FAV . 02/29/2012 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Budget (Margolis) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment to Substitute Amendment (616172) (with 2 directory and title amendments) 3 4 Between lines 894 and 895 5 insert: 6 (17) REFERRAL FEES.—A person, entity, or licensee may not 7 accept a fee for the referral of the insured to a person, 8 entity, or licensee for medical benefits under paragraph (1)(a) 9 unless the person, entity, or licensee making the referral 10 discloses in writing to the insured and the insurer that he or 11 she has received a referral fee, the amount of the referral fee, 12 and the name and business address of the person or entity that 13 provided the referral fee.
