Paragraph (e) is added to subsection (1) of 6 section 394.875, Florida Statutes, to read: 7 394.875 Crisis stabilization units, residential treatment 8 facilities, and residential treatment centers for children and 9 adolescents; authorized services; license required.— 10 (1) 11 (e) The department shall modify the method of expending 12 funds for crisis stabilization services to establish per diem 13 reimbursement for covered services to ensure that state funding 14 is exclusively used for payment of services actually provided to 15 qualified patients. The department may not contract for bed 16 availability. Available funds shall be used to reimburse a 17 variety of providers, including public receiving facilities, 18 community mental health programs, licensed acute care hospitals, 19 or other approved facilities.
