       The Committee on Budget (Gaetz) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 221 and 222
    4  insert:
    5         (9) The contractor shall purchase services and supplies
    6  required for the operation and maintenance of the correctional
    7  facilities or assigned correctional units included in the
    8  contract from a subcontractor or supplier that is located in
    9  this state or that employs residents of this state if the costs
   10  of such services and supplies are equal to the cost of such
   11  services and supplies offered by a subcontractor or supplier
   12  that is not located in this state or that does not employ
   13  residents of this state; however, if the costs, terms, and
   14  conditions associated with the purchase of services and supplies
   15  are not identical, the contractor may select the subcontractor
   16  or supplier preferred by the contractor.

   19         And the title is amended as follows:
   20         Between lines 44 and 45
   21  insert:
   22         requiring that the contractor purchase services and
   23         supplies for the operation and maintenance of the
   24         correctional facilities or assigned correctional units
   25         from a subcontractor or supplier that is located in
   26         this state or that employs residents of this state
   27         under certain circumstances; providing an exception;
