The Committee on Agriculture (Simmons) recommended the
following:

5 Section 10. Subsection (1) of section 526.203, Florida
6 Statutes, is amended to read:
7 526.203 Renewable fuel standard.—
8 (1) DEFINITIONS.—As used in this act:
9 (a) “Alternative fuel” means a fuel that is produced from
10 biomass as defined in s. 366.91, that is used to replace or
11 reduce the quantity of fossil fuel present in a petroleum fuel,
12 and that meets the specifications adopted by the department.
13 (b)(a) “Blender,” “importer,” “terminal supplier,” and
14 “wholesaler” are defined as provided in s. 206.01.
15 (c)(b) “Blended gasoline” means a mixture of 90 to 91
16 percent gasoline and 9 to 10 percent fuel ethanol or other
17 alternative fuel, by volume, that meets the specifications as
18 adopted by the department. The fuel ethanol or other alternative
19 fuel portion may be derived from any agricultural source.
20 (d)(c) “Fuel ethanol” means an anhydrous denatured alcohol
21 produced by the conversion of carbohydrates that meets the
22 specifications as adopted by the department.
23 (e)(d) “Unblended gasoline” means gasoline that has not
24 been blended with fuel ethanol or other alternative fuel and
25 that meets the specifications as adopted by the department.
