       The Committee on Budget Subcommittee on Criminal and Civil
       Justice Appropriations (Bogdanoff) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 160 and 161
    4  insert:
    5         Section 11. Paragraph (i) is added to subsection (1) of
    6  section 48.193, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         48.193 Acts subjecting person to jurisdiction of courts of
    8  state.—
    9         (1) Any person, whether or not a citizen or resident of
   10  this state, who personally or through an agent does any of the
   11  acts enumerated in this subsection thereby submits himself or
   12  herself and, if he or she is a natural person, his or her
   13  personal representative to the jurisdiction of the courts of
   14  this state for any cause of action arising from the doing of any
   15  of the following acts:
   16         (i) Unless the parties have agreed otherwise by contract,
   17  mandating or ordering an entity that is incorporated in this
   18  state or that has its principal place of business in this state
   19  to act as a collection agent to collect monetary or other
   20  payments from any person or entity, regardless of whether that
   21  person or entity is a resident of this state. The courts of this
   22  state may limit the application of, refuse to enforce, or enjoin
   23  the application of any such collection practice that it finds to
   24  be inequitable, impracticable, or impossible.

   27  And the title is amended as follows:

   29         Delete line 60
   30  and insert:
   31  
   32         withdraw a mandate within 120 days after its issuance;
   33         amending s. 48.193, F.S.; providing additional grounds
   34         for subjecting a person to the jurisdiction of the
   35         courts of this state;
