       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Latvala)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (652984) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 48 - 66
    5  and insert:
    6         d. Six individuals who are younger than 30 years of age and
    7  who must apply to the Department of Education to become members
    8  of the council.
    9         e. Six individuals who are 30 years of age or older and who
   10  must apply to the Department of Education to become members of
   11  the council.
   12         2. The Commissioner of Education, the member of the Senate,
   13  and the member of the House of Representatives, or their
   14  designees, are ex officio, nonvoting members of the council.

   17         And the title is amended as follows:
   18         Delete lines 117 - 118
   19  and insert:
   20         Department of Education; providing for certain
   21         individuals to apply to the department for membership
   22         on the council;
