The Committee on Budget (Wise) recommended the following amendment:

Section: 04              EXPLANATION:

On Page: 168             This amendment adds proviso that specifies $1.4 
                         million in recurring general revenue to fund early 
Spec App: 1272           intervention services for youth experiencing in 
                         school disciplinary referrals through the 
                         Children-In-Need-of-      
                         Services/Family-In-Need-of-Services (CINS/FINS) from 
                         base funding.

At the end of existing proviso language, immediately following Specific 
Appropriation 1272, INSERT:

From the funds in Specific Appropriation 1272, $1,400,000 in recurring 
general revenue funds is provided to the Department of Juvenile Justice 
to fund the expansion of CINS/FINS services to provide for early 
intervention to youth who are experiencing in school disciplinary 
referrals.  Youth will participate in a web-based behavioral 
intervention and skills development curriculum that is tied to problem 
behaviors as well as mentoring and counseling services for those youth 
in need of additional intervention.
