       Senator Latvala moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (401580) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 732 and 733
    5  insert:
    6         Section 12. Effective July 1, 2012, and applicable to state
    7  contracts executed or renewed on or after that date, subsection
    8  (3) is added to section 287.084, Florida Statutes, to read:
    9         287.084 Preference to Florida businesses.—
   10         (3) A vendor whose principal place of business is in this
   11  state may not be precluded from being an authorized reseller of
   12  information technology commodities of a state contractor if the
   13  vendor demonstrates that it employs an internationally
   14  recognized quality management system, such as ISO 9001 or its
   15  equivalent. The vendor must provide a warranty on the
   16  information technology commodities which is at least equal in
   17  scope and length of time to the warranty offered by the
   18  contractor.
