Senator Montford moved the following:

3 Between lines 835 and 836
4 insert:
5 Section 7. Paragraph (c) of subsection (5) of section
6 1008.331, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
7 1008.331 Supplemental educational services in Title I
8 schools; school district, provider, and department
9 responsibilities.—
10 (5) RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.—
11 (c) For the 2012-2013 school year, school districts shall
12 may use an amount equivalent to 15 percent of the Title I, Part
13 A funds allocated to Title I schools to meet the requirements
14 for supplemental educational services, as provided in the
15 Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended. Supplemental
16 educational services shall be provided in Title I schools to
17 students who are performing at Level 1 or Level 2 on the FCAT.
18 Each school district shall contract with supplemental
19 educational service providers that have been approved by the
20 department.
