       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Evers) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete line 93
    4  and insert:
    5         status report and proposed budget request by December 1,
    6         Delete lines 122 - 125
    7  and insert:
    8  Contingent upon specific appropriations, the department may
    9  transport an inmate in a state-owned vehicle if the inmate is
   10  unable to obtain other means of travel to his or her place of
   11  employment, education, or training.

   15         Delete line 21
   16  and insert:

   18         a provision requiring a specific appropriation for the
