Senator Hays moved the following:

3 Delete lines 780 - 792
4 and insert:
5 interior design shall not qualify hereunder; or
6 (c) Has passed the prescribed licensure examination and
7 holds a valid certificate issued by the National Council of
8 Architectural Registration Boards, and holds a valid license to
9 practice architecture issued by another state or jurisdiction of
10 the United States. An applicant who has passed the prescribed
11 licensure examination and holds a valid license to practice
12 architecture issued by another state, but who does not hold a
13 certificate, may be licensed if he or she:
14 1. Holds a minimum 4-year degree;
15 2. Has maintained an architect license in good standing for
16 a minimum of 10 years;
17 3. Has been a continuous resident of this state for a
18 minimum of 10 years; and
19 4. Presents evidence of satisfactory completion of the
20 continuing education requirements for renewal of an architect
21 license for the biennium ending February, 2013. This exception
22 to the requirement that an applicant hold a valid certificate
23 issued by the National Council of Architectural Registration
24 Boards expires March 1, 2013. For the purposes of this
25 paragraph, any applicant licensed in another state or
26 jurisdiction after June 30, 1984, must also hold a degree in
27 architecture and such degree must be equivalent to that required
28 in s. 481.209(1)(b). Also for the purposes of this paragraph,
29 any applicant licensed in another state or jurisdiction after
30 June 30, 1985, must have completed an internship equivalent to
31 that required by s. 481.211 and any rules adopted with respect
32 thereto.
