       Senator Diaz de la Portilla moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 33 and 34
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Paragraph (x) is added to subsection (1) of
    6  section 316.008, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         316.008 Powers of local authorities.—
    8         (1) The provisions of this chapter shall not be deemed to
    9  prevent local authorities, with respect to streets and highways
   10  under their jurisdiction and within the reasonable exercise of
   11  the police power, from:
   12         (x) Closing or limiting access to a street.
   13

   15         And the title is amended as follows:
   16         Delete line 2
   17  and insert:
   18         An act relating to mitigation; amending s. 316.008,
   19         F.S.; revising the powers of local authorities to
   20         include closing or limiting access to a street;
