       The Committee on Commerce and Tourism (Detert) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 25 - 31
    4  and insert:
    5         (a) The information will be used for a purpose other than
    6  one prohibited by this section;
    7         (b) The employer has a bona fide purpose for requesting or
    8  using information in the credit report or credit history which
    9  is substantially related to the job; and
   10         (c) The ability to request such information was disclosed
   11  to the applicant and the employer obtained permission from the
   12  applicant to request the information.
