The Committee on Appropriations (Montford) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Substitute for Amendment (907534) (with title
2 amendment)

4 Delete lines 1311 - 1326
5 and insert:
6 (s) Florida Cyber Security Recognition, Florida Digital
7 Arts Recognition, and Florida Digital Tools Certificate
8 established pursuant to s. 1003.4203.—
9 1. Each school district shall certify by June 30 of each
10 year to the Department of Education each elementary school that
11 achieves 75 percent of student attainment of the Florida Cyber
12 Security Recognition or the Florida Digital Arts Recognition
13 established pursuant to s. 1003.4203. Upon verification by the
14 department, each school that has achieved the designated student
15 recognitions shall be awarded a Florida Cyber Security
16 designation by the Commissioner of Education.
17 2. Each middle school shall receive $50 for each student
18 who earns the Florida Digital Tools Certificate established
19 pursuant to s. 1003.4203 with a minimum award per school of
20 $1,000 annually and a maximum award per school of $15,000
21 annually. This performance payment shall be calculated in the
22 FEFP as a full-time equivalent student.
