The Committee on Appropriations (Montford) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete lines 1311 - 1326
4 and insert:
5 (s) Florida Cyber Security Recognition, Florida Digital
6 Arts Recognition, and Florida Digital Tools Certificate
7 established pursuant to s. 1003.4203.—
8 1. Each school district shall certify by June 30 of each
9 year to the Department of Education each elementary school that
10 achieves 75 percent of student attainment of the Florida Cyber
11 Security Recognition or the Florida Digital Arts Recognition
12 established pursuant to s. 1003.4203. Upon verification by the
13 department, each school that has achieved the designated student
14 recognitions shall be awarded a Florida Cyber Security
15 designation by the Commissioner of Education.
16 2. Contingent upon appropriations, each middle school shall
17 receive $50 for each student who earns the Florida Digital Tools
18 Certificate established pursuant to s. 1003.4203 with a minimum
19 award per school of $1,000 annually and a maximum award per
20 school of $15,000 annually. This performance payment shall be
21 calculated in the FEFP as a full-time equivalent student.
