       The Committee on Ethics and Elections (Flores) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. In accordance with subsection (b) of Section 3
    6  of Article III of the State Constitution and in lieu of the date
    7  fixed therein, the Regular Session of the Legislature shall
    8  convene on the first Tuesday after the second Monday in January
    9  of each even-numbered year beginning in calendar year 2014.
   10         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.

   13         And the title is amended as follows:
   14         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   15  and insert:
   16                        A bill to be entitled                      
   17         An act relating to the Legislature; fixing the date
   18         for convening the regular session of the Legislature
   19         in even-numbered years; providing an effective date.
