       The Committee on Education (Montford) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 223 - 230
    4  and insert:
    5         (d) Three or more contiguous school districts may apply to
    6  enter into a joint performance contract as a Region of
    7  Innovation, subject to terms and conditions contained in this
    8  section for a single school district.
    9         (e) The State Board of Education shall monitor innovation
   10  schools to ensure that the respective school district is in
   11  compliance with this section and the performance contract.
   12         (f) The State Board of Education shall adopt rules pursuant
   13  to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54 to implement this section,
   14  including, but not limited to, an application, evaluation
   15  instrument, and renewal evaluation instrument.
   16         (g) This section does not supersede the provisions of s.
