       The Committee on Commerce and Tourism (Hays) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 39 - 46
    4  and insert:
    5         (3) A person who sells or offers for sale an unsafe used
    6  tire in violation of this section commits an unfair and
    7  deceptive trade practice as defined in part II of chapter 501.
