The Committee on Health Policy (Grimsley) recommended the
following:

5 Section 2. Subsection (1) of section 468.304, Florida
6 Statutes, is amended to read:
7 468.304 Certification.—The department shall certify any
8 applicant who meets the following criteria:
9 (1) Pays to the department a nonrefundable fee that may not
10 exceed $100, plus the actual per-applicant cost to the
11 department for purchasing the examination from a national
12 organization. The department shall waive the initial application
13 fee for a military veteran who applies to the department for an
14 initial certification within 24 months after being honorably
15 discharged from any branch of the United States Armed Forces.
16 The applicant must apply for the fee waiver using a form
17 prescribed by the department and must submit supporting
18 documentation as required by the department. This waiver does
19 not include the fee for purchasing the examination from a
20 national organization.

22 The department may not certify any applicant who has committed
23 an offense that would constitute a violation of any of the
24 provisions of s. 468.3101 or applicable rules if the applicant
25 had been certified by the department at the time of the offense.
26 An application for a limited computed tomography certificate may
27 not be accepted. A person holding a valid computed tomography
28 certificate as of October 1, 1984, is subject to s. 468.309.

38 the time period a veteran can apply to 24 months after
39 discharge; requiring applying veterans to be honorably
40 discharged; amending s. 468.304, F.S.; requiring that
41 the department waive the initial application fee for
42 veterans who apply for a radiological personnel
43 certification; requiring the department to prescribe
44 the form of the fee waiver; limiting the time period a
45 veteran can apply to 24 months after honorable
46 discharge; excluding a specific fee from the waiver;
