       The Committee on Transportation (Evers) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 1025 - 1033
    4  and insert:
    5         (6) The provisions of subsections (3), (4), and (5) of this
    6  section shall not apply within the jurisdiction of any
    7  municipality which is engaged in any litigation concerning its
    8  sign ordinance on April 23, 1999, nor shall such provisions
    9  apply to any municipality whose boundaries are identical to the
   10  county within which said municipality is located.
   11         (7) This section does not cause a neighboring sign that is
   12  already permitted and that is within the spacing requirements
   13  established in s. 479.07(9)(a) to become nonconforming.
