       Senator Simmons moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (489386) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 927 - 938
    4  and insert:
    5         5. A new structure for which a notice of commencement has
    6  been issued on or after July 1, 2014, pursuant to s. 713.135,
    7  which is located seaward of the coastal construction control
    8  line created pursuant to s. 161.053, is ineligible for coverage
    9  through the corporation unless the structure meets the coastal
   10  code-plus building code criteria developed and recommended by
   11  the Florida Building Commission. Filing a notice of commencement
   12  for an addition to an existing structure that was built before
   13  July 1, 2014, requires that the addition be built according to
   14  the code-plus building criteria but does not require that the
   15  existing structure meet the code-plus criteria in order to be
   16  eligible for coverage through the corporation. Effective January
