    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution honoring the service of Phillip J. “Jeff”
    3         Fleming, Jr., on his retirement from the Florida
    4         Senate.
    5  
    6         WHEREAS, Phillip J. “Jeff” Fleming, Jr., began his service
    7  with the Florida Senate in June 1975, and
    8         WHEREAS, Jeff was initially hired as a property manager in
    9  the Office of the Senate Sergeant at Arms, holding that position
   10  until July of 1998, when he was promoted to Deputy Sergeant at
   11  Arms, and
   12         WHEREAS, Jeff helped in the move from the Historic Capitol
   13  to the modern Capitol, and
   14         WHEREAS, Jeff traveled throughout the state during the
   15  1982, 1992, 2002, and 2012 reapportionment meetings, assisting
   16  with that process, and
   17         WHEREAS, Jeff also assisted with the 1977-1978 and 1997
   18  1998 Constitution Revision Commissions, and
   19         WHEREAS, Jeff served the Senate and the people of this
   20  state faithfully for nearly 38 years, NOW, THEREFORE,

   22  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

   24         That we recognize Phillip J. “Jeff” Fleming, Jr., for his
   25  dedicated service and wish him well in retirement.
