       Senator Joyner moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 262 and 263
    4  insert:
    5         Section 31.  The Department of Transportation may permit
    6  the erection by a private entity of a suitable marker in the
    7  wayside park on the north end of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in
    8  memory of those who died on May 9, 1980, when the MV Summit
    9  Venture collided with the bridge. The type of marker and its
   10  location shall be subject to the approval of the department. The
   11  private entity shall be responsible for all costs of the marker
   12  and its installation. The private entity shall also provide an
   13  annual renewable bond, an irrevocable letter of credit, or
   14  another form of security as approved by the department’s
   15  comptroller, for the purpose of securing the cost of removal of
   16  the monument and any modifications made to the site as part of
   17  the placement of the monument should the department determine it
   18  necessary to remove or relocate the monument.
