Subsection (7) is added to section 382.008, 6 Florida Statutes, to read: 7 382.008 Death and fetal death registration.— 8 (7) The State Registrar shall electronically submit twice 9 each month to the Florida Association of Court Clerks and 10 Comptrollers, Inc., a data file of each permanent certificate of 11 death or fetal death that is filed in each county, excluding any 12 information that is confidential and exempt from s. 119.07(1). 13 The Florida Association of Court Clerks and Comptrollers, Inc., 14 shall electronically submit the data file to the clerk of the 15 circuit court, or the local entity that records documents in the 16 public record, for each county. The clerk of the circuit court, 17 or the local recording entity, shall record the permanent death 18 certificate for each death that occurred within their respective 19 county. The clerk of the circuit court shall waive all fees and 20 service charges associated with recording any permanent death 21 certificates mandated by this paragraph. 22 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2013. 23 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 24 And the title is amended as follows: 25 Delete everything before the enacting clause 26 and insert: 27 A bill to be entitled 28 An act relating to death certificates; amending s. 29 382.008, F.S.; requiring the State Registrar to 30 electronically transfer a data file of permanent death 31 certificates to the Florida Association of Court 32 Clerks and Comptrollers, Inc.; requiring the 33 Association to submit that data file to the clerk of 34 the circuit court, or local recording entity, for each 35 county; requiring the clerk of the circuit court, or 36 local recording entity, to record the permanent death 37 certificate for each death that occurred within their 38 respective county; requiring the clerk of the circuit 39 court, or local recording entity, to waive associated 40 fees; providing an effective date.
