       The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Accountability
       (Benacquisto) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 16 - 22
    4  and insert:
    5         (7) The department may allow an apparent owner to
    6  electronically submit a claim for unclaimed property to the
    7  department. If a claim is submitted electronically for $1,000 or
    8  less, the department may use a method of identity verification
    9  other than a copy of a valid driver license, other government
   10  issued photographic identification, or a sworn notarized
   11  statement. The department may adopt rules to implement this
   12  subsection.
   13         (8) This section applies to all unclaimed property reported
   14  and remitted to the Chief Financial Officer, including, but not
   15  limited to, property reported pursuant to ss. 43.19, 45.032,
   16  732.107, 733.816, and 744.534.
