Explanation:

In Section 02, on Page 19, DELETE the following:
From the funds provided in Specific Appropriations 7 and 87,
$676,400,211 is enhancement funding for the Florida Education Finance
Program. Regarding additional funds school districts provide for salary
increases to instructional personnel, the legislature strongly
encourages that at least 50 percent of the funding allocated by school
districts for salary increases be awarded based on performance, as
determined by the school district.

$676,400,211 is enhancement funding for the Florida Education Finance
Program. The portion of such funds used by districts to provide salary
increases for instructional and non-instructional personnel and school
administrators shall be devoted solely to provide merit-based salary
increases consistent with the provisions of House Bill 7141 or Senate
Bill 980, as verified by the Department of Education.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items. |
